Talking to Other Users
  1. Talk politely to other users.
  2. Swearing is only permitted in the chat. Cursing on a talk page, user page, or message wall will be filtered by an admin.
  3. It is not acceptable to post one word replies such as 'OK' or 'yeah' because they add nothing to the discussion.
  4. Posting personal information of other users is not acceptable and will result in a block.
  5. No pornographic content may be posted or linked to.
  6. It is not permitted to have an alternate account to evade a ban or a block from this wiki.
Userpage Content
  1. Swearing is permitted on your userpage if you add {{contentwarning}} to the top of your page in a clear visible position.
  2. No racist content.
  3. No content which may be gory or bloody.
  4. No content which may upset/distress people.
  5. Do not edit another user's page.
Spam and Vandalism
  1. Persistent vandals will be blocked.
  2. Vandals from the same IP will have their IP blocked.
  3. Do not create pages on the wiki that are not relevant to Animal Crossing.
Spelling and Grammar
  1. Plurals are not spelled with an apostrophe.
  2. Make sure you're using the correct pronoun relating to a character's gender.
  3. Don't confuse homophones.
  4. Only proper nouns or words at the beginning of a sentence are to be capitalized.
  5. Titles of large pieces of work, such as books, movies, and plays, should be italicized. Works that are small, such as songs, poems, or newspaper articles, should be in quotations.
  6. If you decide to list or explain something after a clause that can stand by itself, use a colon, not a semicolon.
Article Style
  1. Do not speak in "textspeak" on wiki pages.
  2. Do not use the word "you". Replace "you" with "the player."
  3. The American spelling of words is preferred.
  4. Avoid point of view.
  5. Do not claim authorship.
  6. Do not capitalize the species or personality of a villager.
  7. Usernames and proper nouns should always be capitalized.
  8. Do not link to articles more than once in the same paragraph.
Images and Other Files
  1. Please do not upload files if you do not intend to use them on any page.
  2. Please use a licensing template for each image/music file.
  3. Do not upload gory, pornographic, or offensive images, videos, or music files.
  4. Ensure a file's name includes information relating to the file.

Blog Posts and Message Walls
  1. General chat must be kept on Message Walls, forums, or chat.
  2. Talk pages are for wiki-related discussion only.
  3. The official wiki thread for any type of discussion is located here.
Voting
  1. All proposals and promotion/demotion requests are handled on the Wiki Promotions and Demotions board.
  2. Proposals are up for seven days. 2/3 of votes must be in one direction for a proposal to pass.
  3. Wiki and chat rules shall not be changed without a proposal beforehand.
Accounts
  1. Multiple accounts are not permitted as of November 2013.
