[edit] Changing the inventory background
Change the background of your inventory by dragging a shirt to the bottom-left space in your inventory and pressing down and then A Button or drag it to the bottom-left using the stylus and then release when a yellow outline appears. Designs also function the same way. This does not work in City Folk, only in Wild World and Animal Crossing GCN. In Wild World, you will get a free Big Dot Shirt as this design is always the original.
[edit] Golden Tools
The golden tools are completely advanced compared to the other normal tools.
[edit] Golden Slingshot
You will shoot down a Golden Slingshot after you have shot down fifteen items. With the golden slingshot, three rocks will come out instead of one.
[edit] Golden Fishing Rod
You will receive a golden fishing rod after you have caught all fifty-six fish on Animal Crossing: Wild World or after catching all forty fish on Animal Crossing (GCN). The golden fishing rod has a longer reel in time (it is easier to catch fish).
[edit] Golden Net
You will receive a golden net after you have caught all insects on Animal Crossing: Wild World or Animal Crossing GCN. The golden net is bigger than the standard net (it is easier to catch insects).
[edit] Golden Watering Can
You will receive a golden watering can from Pelly or Phyllis once your town has stayed in perfect status for fifteen days. On the sixteenth day talk to Pelly or Phyllis to receive the watering can. The golden watering can allows you to grow golden roses.
[edit] Golden Shovel
Dig a hole in the ground and bury a Shovel. The next day (not 24 hours), dig it up and it will be a Golden Shovel. The Golden Shovel will allow the player to plant a money tree.
[edit] Golden Axe
You will receive the golden axe from having a perfect town for two weeks in Animal Crossing GCN or from Pascal in Animal Crossing: Wild World after a long and complex process. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the Golden Axe is obtained by throwing a regular axe into the town fountain once it is purchased. If the player is lucky, he/she will receive either a Golden or Silver axe in return. The chance of getting a Golden Axe increases with the use of feng shui.
The golden axe has the ability to chop down trees without breaking.
