Barold (ニッシー, Nisshī?) is a lazy cub villager in the Animal Crossing series. Barold's name seems to be a pun on the name "Harold" and the species that he is. His initial phrase references a cub, a young bear.
Barold is a dusty brown colored bear. The insides of his ears are tangerine, and he appears to have a five-o-clock shadow beard. He wears large square shaped glasses, also he has large lips. There are white markings on his feet, his paws and the tip of his tail. His initial shirt is the Tiger Shirt. He might be mistaken for a smug villager.
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
Barold is a lazy villager. As such, Barold takes a keen interest in eating, sleeping, clothes, etc. He gets along very well with the player, as well as other lazy, normal or peppy villagers. However, he may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness and do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice. Barold usually goes to sleep at 10:00 PM, and awaken at 9:00 AM. As he is a lazy villager, he will have a laid back personality. He will usually talk to the player about things like relaxation and food.
- Barold's home has a very modern theme to it, resembling an office building. He has a computer, white board, printer and a potted plant, along with a giant stuffed teddy bear in the top left corner. He has tiled flooring and a series of blinds for wallpaper. He has a Tape Deck which is playing My Place.
