Bob (ニコバン, Nikoban) is a lazy cat villager who has appeared in every game of the Animal Crossing series. His name is probably based off the word bobcat. There are rumors which say he is the first Animal Crossing series character, being born on January 1^st and having a very simple name, though there is no proof of this. His initial phrase, "pthhhpth," maybe a reference to the sound a cat makes when coughing up a hairball. He will reappear later in Animal Crossing (3DS).

AppearanceEdit

Bob is a cat with darker purple polka dots and half-closed yellow eyes, making him appear lazy. He wears the blossom shirt, which clashes with his deep-purple fur. The inside of his ears are pink, and his tail has two dark purple spots on it. He is often mistaken for a female,because of his purple fur and pink shirt.

As a lazy villager, Bob will be easy to get along with due to his laid-back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares a love of food and relaxing. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, he will mention his dream of diving in, for example, a pool of creme brulee. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, when fishing. Bob often asks the player to get him common fish such as sea basses, which he says he's going to 'study'. He will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, compared to the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He becomes great friends with the player, looking up to them for advice and, of course, presents, which he deeply loves. He uses a gelato umbrella when it's raining. Like Punchy and Moe, Bob is ever so friendly! He can get angry if you don't invite him to your house, whenever you are all gloomy, Bob can cheer you up!

HouseEdit

Bob's house includes items from the Kiddie Series. His home in every Animal Crossing series includes most of the Kiddie Set, along with the Kiddie Wall and Kiddie Floor. His kiddie stereo plays K.K. Ragtime. In the Gamcube and N64 version, he has an "N" logo.
