What are you staring at?!
― Picture quote, Wild World

I'm out for a walk 'cause it's the only thing that will chill out my brain muscle.
― Buck, City Folk

Buck (ヴァヤシコフ, Vayashikofu?) is a jock horse villager in the Animal Crossing series. As a jock villager, he will act friendly and competitive when around the player. His name may refer to a vaulting horse used in gymnastics - which also gets the name from a type of horse sport where a rider tries to stay on top of a horse while it is "bucking." His initial phrase is a play on the word "partner," which is pronounced "pardner" by southern people. His picture quote in Wild World can result in him being mistaken for a cranky villager since it sounds angry. So far, he has appeared in every game.

Appearance

Buck is a dark green horse with a maroon brown mane. His muzzle and hooves are a creamy white, which resembles a donkey, as well as the shape of his tail. He has grumpy-looking eyes would suggest that he has a cranky personality, but as a jock villager he is more friendly. He initially wears an eight-ball shirt, which reflects on his jock personality. Buck also resembles Truffles who looks angry as well.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.

Buck is a jock villager, which means he will often conflict with lazy villagers, due to their lack of exercise. He will also question snooty villagers on their weight, angering them. He loves to exercise and stay fit. Sometimes, he will get mad at the player if you don't agree with his certain exercise routines. He will always talk about getting fit.

House

In Animal Crossing, Buck has a mix of exotic and ranch furniture. In the center, there is a ranch couch and a ranch armchair near a classic table. There is an exotic chest, antique clock, and a leather jerkin. In the west, there is an exotic screen. His wallpaper is the Old Brick Wall and his flooring is the Opulent Rug. His phonograph plays Lucky K.K. Buck has the same house as Natasha from Animal Forest e+, only with different flooring and wallpaper.

In Wild World and City Folk, Buck has the same furniture as before, but with a few pieces added and gotten rid of. New pieces include the classic wardrobe, classic bookcase, and fireplace. The exotic screen is no longer in Buck's house. The phonograph plays My Place. The flooring and wallpaper are the same.

In New Leaf, Buck's house is different from the past games. He has a relaxed decoration, somehow messy. He owns some retro furniture like an old TV. Papers and clothes can be seen scattered around his house. His phonograph plays My Place.

Profile

Buck is a competitor through and through, which is why he hates losing. It drives him totally nuts. You really don't want to be around him when he loses. There's a reason people call him "Buck," you know.
