Clay (どぐろう, Dogurou?) is a lazy hamster villager who first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. His name refers to the material that Dogu were made out of, which is what he is based on. His picture quote may be a reference to the quote from the movie, Forrest Gump, said by the titular character.
Clay is a brown hamster. He has a rust-colored, raccoon-like mask surrounding his eyes, which are light brown with horizontal pupils. He has swirly, wisp-like eyebrows and three red dots below each eye. His paws and belly are light brown, with a rusty color around the edges. The insides of his ears are bright teal. His design may be a reference to the Japanese "Dogū," clay figurines built in the Jōmon period.
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here
As a lazy villager, Clay be easy to get along with due to his laid-back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, when fishing. He will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, opposed to the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He becomes great friends with the player, looking up to them for advice and, of course, presents.
Clay's house seems to be based on an african savannah. He has a fossil, as well as a hammock and a cow skull. There is also a bonfire in the center of the room. Clay initially owns no stereo, but when he gains one it plays the song K.K. Safari.
