"Let's see, the next event is...a ways off yet, clip clawp."Clyde (デースケ, Dēsuke?) is a lazy horse villager who first appears in City Folk. It is possible his name is derived from Clydesdale, a horse breed. His catchphrase comes from the noise horses make with their hooves when walking on a hard surface, clip-clop. Clyde can also be found in New Leaf. His name is shared with a name or alternate name of a Pac-Man character, much like Pinky and Sly. He appears on the album cover for K.K. March.
— Clyde, New Leaf
Clyde is a bright yellow horse with a dark brown crest and a tail. He also has dark brown hair, which curls to one side. The inside of his ears match the pink color of the polka dots on his shirt. His coloration is similar to Al, who is a yellow-green and dark green gorilla who also made his debut in City Folk. Clyde's eyes look like buttons, and he initially wears the Bubble Gum Shirt.
- Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Clyde likes food. He will often bring up the subject of random foods in regular conversation. After you get to know him, he is very hospitable and will share some of his dreams, such as a comic book writer and hero. When he is choosing a nickname for you, he might say he was thinking about a new comic series and he will say, "I called you something different, though, do you want to hear it?" and then he tells you your nickname. At times he is not very smart.
Clyde's house has a very fruity theme. He has a pineapple bed, apple clock, pear dresser, and orange chair, as well as the fruity wallpaper and flooring. His stereo plays K.K. Dixie. His house looks a lot like Tangy's. He may also have a red stereo.
