It's pretty hard to walk that fine line between cool and understated. You can end up plain, ya know!

I'm already up to 12 cups a day! Do you really think another morning mug will help?
― Diva, New Horizons

Diva (アイーダ, Aīda?, Aida) is a sisterly frog villager in the Animal Crossing series. Her Japanese name is a reference to the titular character of the Broadway musical Aida, which takes place in ancient Egypt. Her English name is more straightforward, simply calling her a diva, while her Italian name is "Viola" and french name is "Violette" which means "purple", a reference to the color of her skin. Her Spanish name "Morania" is a pun between the words "Morada" and "Rana", meaning "Purple" and "Frog".

She appears on the album cover for K.K. Milonga. She has the fitness hobby.

Appearance[]

Diva HHD

Diva is a light purple frog who wears white lipstick. She has dark purple hair that curls around the side of her head. She also has magenta eyes with bright blue eyeshadow and three eyelashes on each eye, which could make her look like a snooty villager. Her hands and feet are dark purple, and she initially wears the Amethyst Tee. She does not carry an umbrella around when it rains, like all frogs, and will instead make unique comments about how the rain feels slick against her skin.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the sisterly personality. For more information, click here.

Diva is a sisterly villager. When befriended, she will give the player fighting tips and teach them ways to relax. Diva will also give the player medicine if they are stung by a wasp. Like all sisterly villagers, Diva is tough, but she will still care deeply about her appearance. Diva has a tendency to stay up very late at night. It is easy to get her picture since developing friendships with sisterly villagers is simple due to her caring and protective nature, sometimes talking to the player about her friendship with her old neighbor's son. Diva may get along with jock villagers who share her love of sports, lazy and normal villagers for how laid-back they are, and peppy villagers. However, she may conflict with smug and snooty villagers due to their arrogant nature. Diva may clash with cranky villagers due to their similarly stubborn personalities, but often end up becoming best friends.

House[]

In New Leaf, Diva's house has a slight Egyptian theme to it. She has two Mummy's Caskets and two Rococo Sofas in the back of the house. She also has a few other Rococo items, such as the Rococo Table and the Rococo Dresser. On top of her Rococo Table is a Phonograph that plays K.K. Bazaar, and a Genie's Lamp. She displays another Genie's Lamp on top of her Rococo Dresser. In the middle of her room is a Whirlpool Bath.

In New Horizons, Diva's house retains the same Egyptian theme she previously had. She has two Sphinxes flanking an altar made up of two Cancer tables and three items from the Golden series: the casket, the seat, and the candlestick. She has a Wall-mounted candle hanging on her wall, which is the Ancient Wall, and she also uses the Rocky-Mountain Flooring.
