The weight of my muscles crushed the planet! AWESOME!
― Ed in a pitfall trap, City Folk

Ed (キザノホマレ, Kizanohomare) is a horse villager with a jock personality in the Animal Crossing series. He was absent from Wild World, but returns in City Folk. His name and species probably comes from Mr. Ed, a television show about a talking horse that aired in the early 1960s.

Appearance

Ed is a bright teal horse with bright yellow hair which covers his entire right eye and he has a white muzzle. He has purple eyelids with long eyelashes, giving a false impression that he is a female. Ed has a blue tail with a long, yellow, fuzzy tuft. In Animal Crossing, he wears a Mod Top, a shirt with large pink and purple stripes. In City Folk he wears a Lite Polka Shirt, a shirt that has several colored large polka dots.

Personality

Ed's personality changes from a jock villager in Animal Crossing and City Folk to a smug villager in New Leaf.

In Animal Crossing

Template:Main personality

Ed has a jock personality. He will have a keen interest in sports and fitness, making him appear competitive and in some cases rude when talking to other villagers. He will get along well with peppy and uchi villagers, but gets confused by the choice of lifestyle followed by lazy villagers, who appear opposite to the jock personality. He may offend and upset snooty and cranky villagers with remarks about their fitness.

In New Leaf

Template:Main personality

Ed has a smug personality. This means he will appear kind and gentlemanly when in conversation with the player. On numerous occasions, he will flirt with the player and admire them. Ed will occasionally talk about being into niche hobbies, like being a train fanatic or collecting plastic bottle caps. He will be very interested in fashion and will mention it often in conversations and letters.

House

Ed's house has a few pieces of furniture from the Modern Series. He also has a gold stereo which plays K.K. Ballad.

In New Leaf, Ed's house is redesigned with furniture from the Classic Series, and the gold stereo is replaced with a high-end stereo.
