Elvis (キング, Kingu^?) is a cranky lion villager from the Animal Crossing series. His catchphrase ("unh-hunh") and picture quote ("thank you very much"), as well as his overall appearance are references to Elvis Presley, the famous singer. Elvis Presley was known as "The King" - a reference that lends itself to the lion, which is known in popular culture as "the king of the jungle." His quote from New Leaf is possibly a reference to the Cowardly Lion, a character in The Wizard of Oz

Elvis has a brown mane and a yellowish-gold body. His inner ears are a bright red, and his paws are all brown. He has prominent cheekbones and an X-shaped scar on the right side of his face. His initial shirt is the Royal Shirt.

Elvis has a cranky personality, which means that he will be rude to the player at first and may be hard to befriend. If treated kindly, he will warm up to them and will grow very protective over them. He also demonstrates more maturity than the other villagers, and will talk to the player about the bachelor lifestyle. Occasionally, he will speak out for his respect for hobos. He has a taste for expensive items, as can be seen if you visit his home. He engages in all of the hobbies, but with less vigour than the Jock personality villagers. That being said, he occasionally demonstrates his competitive streak.

House

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, he starts off with two exotic screens, two stone pillars, two regal sofas, two thrones and a treasure chest. He also has the arched window on his walls and stone flooring. If given a stereo, it will play K.K. Casbah. He has no Gyroids. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, he starts off with two stone pillars, two thrones, two Rococo Series sofas, two Gorgeous Series dressers, a plate armor, and a pot of red roses. He will have a stereo in the form of a phonograph, which will play K.K. Casbah. He will notably have a harpsichord, as well, which he will occasionally bring up in conversation, saying that he plays it because he is "obsessed" with it.
