Grizzly (ムー,Mū?) is a crankybearvillager in the Animal Crossing series. The name "Grizzly" refers to the species of bear known as the Grizzly Bear. Alternatively grizzly means "gray-haired"; although this doesn't apply to his appearance, it may reference how cranky villagers seem older. His catchphrase, "grrr...", is the sound an upset animal makes, which references his cranky personality. Grizzly was absent from Wild World but reappeared in City Folk. He has the education hobby.
Grizzly has yellow eyes with black pupils and brown eyebrows. His main coloring is black/dark brown and white. The insides of his ears are blue. He has a white colored muzzle & a shiny, dark-brown nose. His initial shirt in the original Animal Crossing game is the Houndstooth Tee, while in City Folk and New Leaf he wears a three-ball shirt. In New Horizons, he wears a red Flannel Shirt.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here.
Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Grizzly will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.
House[]
In Animal Forest, like Claude, Dora, Nate, and Lucy, Grizzly's house will have an Asian theme. He uses the Planked Tatami and the Common Wall. He has two gyroids, the Tall Dingloid and the Tall Percoloid. He has two fish and two yaoki figures.
Grizzly was added to Pocket Camp in the June 28, 2021 update.
Grizzly's preferred theme is natural, and he primarily gives paper as a reward. His profile reads:
❝ Beneath Grizzly's grizzled countenance is a bear that always puts others first. It's a pity people are usually too afraid of him to ask for his help.❞

This bear isn't the tidiest animal you'll ever meet. Grizzly tends to collect a lot of stuff, but he gets rid of it just as fast. When a grouchy bear tells you to take something off his hands, take it.
