Frank (ハルク Haruku^?, Hulk) is a cranky eagle islander from the Animal Crossing series. He initially appeared in Animal Forest e+, but returns in New Leaf.

His Japanese name and initial phrase is based on The Incredible Hulk, and his Spanish name, "Aquilino", means "eagle", his species. His French name, "Greggae", is a combination of the name "Greg" and "Reggae," a music genre originating from the country of Jamaica, whose flag shares the same color scheme with Frank. He has the education hobby.

He appears on the album cover for K.K. Bossa.

Appearance

Frank in Animal Forest e+

Frank is a green, yellow, and maroon colored eagle. His initial clothing is the white long sleeve Letter Jacket in blue with a yellow capital K. He has heavy designs on his eyebrows and under his eyes in a deep brown. His yellow beak is tipped with maroon similar to the stripes on his legs.

Personality

Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Frank will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.

House

Frank's house in Animal Forest e+ is like any other island villager's house, with only a few pieces of furniture in it.

In New Leaf, Frank's house uses the lab wall and boxing-ring mat, and has many items from the Boxing Theme: two ringside tables, a boxing mat, a judge's bell, a blue corner, a sandbag and speed bag, as well as a weight bench. He also has an office locker, a folding chair, and a drinking fountain. He has K.K. Casbah playing on his tape deck.

Pocket Camp

Frank was added to Pocket Camp in the March 18, 2021 update.

Frank's preferred theme is cool, and he primarily gives paper as a reward. His profile reads:

Trivia

• His English name is the same as Keaton's Japanese name.
• In New Horizons, Frank's preferred styles are Cool/Gorgeous, and his preferred colors are Brown/Yellow.
• If one were to remove the Y from "cranky", it'd be "crank", sometimes referring to an old person, which is what the cranky villagers are. It'd also rhyme with his name.
