Good looks won't fill me up! Just make it look normal so I can eat it sooner!
― Paolo, New Horizons

Paolo (パオロ, Paoro?) is a lazy elephant villager from the Animal Crossing series, introduced in Animal Forest and originally exclusive to the GCN games. He was found in the data for Happy Home Designer, but never made an appearance.

Paolo returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.

He has the nature hobby.

Appearance[]

Paolo GC

Paolo in Animal Crossing

Paolo is a hot-pink elephant with beady eyes, thick eyebrows, and a crooked smile on one side of his face, like most elephant villagers. He has orange hands and feet, each with three white toes, as well as orange in the insides of his ears and on the tip of his trunk. He has a white belly and a purple tail with a light purple tip.

Paolo's clothing changes in nearly every game he appears in. In Animal Forest, he wears a N64 Shirt, while in Animal Forest+, he wears a GC Shirt/Diner Uniform. In Animal Crossing and Animal Forest e+, he wears a Cherry Shirt. In New Leaf and Pocket Camp, he wears a Pastel-Stripe Tee, and in Happy Home Designer, he wears a Star Tee. In New Horizons, he wears a grey Simple Parka.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Paolo will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Paolo will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

House[]

In Animal Forest, Paolo's house has a Asian theme towards it along with a dharma and two Gongoids. The wallpaper is the Broken Wall and the flooring is the Wooden Flooring. There is no stereo, but if he obtains one Imperial K.K. is played.

In Animal Crossing, Paolo's house has a theme that combines the kiddie series and the nursery theme. From this series and theme, he has placed two elephant slides, a wobbelina, kiddie wall, playroom wall, kiddie bookshelf, and a kiddie clock. In addition, he has a ping-pong table, a trash can, a slot machine, and a Dice Stereo that plays K.K. March. He also has a refrigerator that resides in the lower left hand corner of his room.

There's being a clean freak and then there's having both a bath and a shower in your camper van. Paolo is the cleanest camper you will ever meet.

Profile Paolo is real... pally. While he can be a little spacey, he's a pretty good guy for a pink elephant. Although he does have the bed habit of dozing off at the most awkward moments. Watch out!
