The Leaf Tires are Animal Crossing-themed tires introduced in Mario Kart 8's Animal Crossing downloadable pack and returning in the base game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, in which it is unlocked at random by collecting coins.

As the name implies, the tires are emblazoned with an icon of an Animal Crossing leaf from the Animal Crossing series. The tire treads also resemble the grass textures within the Animal Crossing games.

CPU Male Villager uses these tires whenever he uses the Streetle, while CPU Female Villager and Isabelle sometimes use these tires when using the City Tripper.
