T&T Mart (also known as convenience store) (コンビニまめつぶ, Konbini Mame Tsubu?, Timmy Tommy Shop) is a new store in New Leaf that is managed and owned by Timmy and Tommy. It is the second Nookling store in the game and the first upgrade, with the previous store being Nookling Junction and the next upgrade being Super T&T

It is similar in appearance to Nook 'N' Go from previous games in the Animal Crossing series, sharing the typical convenience store design of a glass frontage and automatic doors upon entry. However, it has improved opening hours in comparison with the added assistance of changing the times through the Town Ordinance.

It has a limited range of items; three tools, three items of Furniture, two Fortune Cookies, one Wallpaper, one Carpet, one item of stationery, one Wrapping Paper, and one Medicine. Three tools are also available in the list of possible tools for sale: timer, megaphone, and slingshot.

In addition to being a larger store, the Catalog machine will become available allowing the player to order items which they have obtained. The Gardening Store will also be available to build in the Town and will appear next door to the Nookling store. The Gardening Store must be built in order to upgrade.

Upgrading[]

To upgrade to T&T Mart, the player must have spent 10,000 Bells towards their House Mortgage and 12,000 Bells on items at Nookling Junction. The player must also wait for 10 days after the Town's creation before the option to upgrade is made available.

To upgrade the store to Super T&T, the player must spend a minimum of 25,000 Bells at the store and allowed 10 days to pass since the opening of the store, and 10 days of the opening of the Gardening Store.

Trivia[]

  • Inside the window of T&T Mart is a Silver Shovel, but it may only be purchased on the second floor of the Museum.
  • The window also shows that the Fortune Cookies are on the right while they are actually on the left.
  • T&T Mart may have been based on stores in Japan known as Lawson or 7/11, both of which are abundant in the urban areas.
  • Because the doors are automatic, the player is not required to press "A" to open the doors; the player is only required to just walk in front of the door to open it.
