Always a pleasure to see ya.

So, you didn't think I was the type to enjoy watering plants, eh? Well, I do!

If I could leave you with one piece of advice, it's this: stay hydrated, and keep yer chin up. Gahaha!
― Ike, New Horizons

Ike (ダイク, Daiku?) is a cranky bear villager that appears in Animal Forest e+. He could only move into a village if the player has his e-Card.

Ike returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.

He has the nature hobby.

He is also, as stated in his Japanese e-Card info, Poko's father. He is the only villager other than the female kangaroo villagers to be a known parent, and the only male parent to be recognized in the game so far.

Appearance[]

Ike in Animal Forest e+

Ike is dark brown with golden markings around his eyes, possibly mimicking a sun bear. His eyes have large black pupils and are half-closed. His default facial expression resembles a frown, making him look tired or disinterested. He has a shiny, somewhat rectangular black nose. His paws, muzzle, and the insides of his ears are beige, with the color transitioning from brown to beige in a zigzag pattern. He wears a jungle-camo shirt in Animal Forest e+ and New Leaf, which changes to a camo bomber-style jacket in New Horizons.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here.

Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Ike will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.

House[]

Ike's house in Animal Forest e+ has the same furniture styling as Kody's house, only that he has changed the wallpaper Ike has is the Cabin Wall and the Red Tile as the flooring in his house.

In New Horizons, Ike's house resembles a workshop or garage. In the back of his house, he has an iron shelf, DIY workbench, and ironwood DIY workbench with a wall-mounted tool board and studio wall spotlight above it. In the middle of his house, he has an iron worktable with a toolbox and portable radio on top of it, and a tool cart next to it that has a wooden toolbox. He also has a camping cot (camouflage), breaker, and key holder. For wallpaper, he uses the Shutter Wall, and for flooring, he uses the Steel Flooring.

Pocket Camp[]

Ike was added to Pocket Camp in the February 26, 2022 update.

Ike's preferred theme is civic, and he primarily gives paper as a reward. His profile reads:

❝ Ike's values are pretty old-school. "Don't talk about what you don't know about." "Stupid is as stupid does." "Peel a potato from the bottom up." No one really gets that last one.❞
