This article is about an item from the Animal Crossing series. For the dog villager, see Cookie.
The Fortune Cookie is a food item in New Leaf. It can be bought from Nookling Stores for 2 Play Coins each, which can be earned with the Nintendo 3DS's pedometer. After the fortune cookie is eaten, the player will read out its fortune, and the slip can be exchanged for a piece of merchandise if it is brought to Timmy or Tommy. Most of the prizes are items that were available via DLC or the points system in previous games. There are 50 fortunes tickets; 5 of which (#4, #6, #16, #30 and #38) are duds, and the player will receive a normal, random furniture item instead of a special item. Some fortunes may be actual sayings from previous Nintendo games, such as #35 and #9.
During some months, some limited sale items are added to the rotation of items, such as the firework items during the month of August and Glow Wands during the month of December. As a result, there may be only one, or no cookies for sale on any day.
