Frank (ハルク Haruku?, Hulk) is a jock eagle islander from the Animal Crossing series. He initially appeared in Animal Forest e+, but returns as a cranky villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. His Japanese name and initial phrase is based on The Incredible Hulk, and his Spanish name, 'Aquilino', means 'eagle', his species.
He appears on the album cover for K.K. Bossa.
Frank is a green, yellow, and red bird. His initial clothing is the Black Letter Jacket. He has heavy eyebrows and bags under his eyes. His yellow beak is tipped with red. He has red and yellow stripes on his legs. He seems to resemble a parrot, like Pierce.
As an islander, Frank has a jock personality in Animal Forest e+, which means he will have a keen interest in sport and fitness, making him appear competitive and in some cases rude when talking to other villagers, usually criticizing their fitness. He will appear slow-witted and absent-minded when talking about deep, meaningful things. He will get along well with peppy villagers, but get confused by the choice of lifestyle followed by lazy villagers, who appear opposite to the jock personality. He may offend and upset snooty and cranky villagers. He is not very talkative, and is known to say he wishes he could talk to someone else the second time a player ever talks to him.
As a cranky villager in New Leaf, Frank will appear mature compared to other personality types. This will make him appear belittling and insensitive to other villagers, including the player. Despite this, he will learn to confide in the player, considering them his only friend. He will find it difficult to socialize with peppy and normal villagers as he will criticize them. He will get along with lazy, snooty, and other cranky villagers, with whom he will share deeper conversations. He will occasionally anger normal villagers when being mean about something or someone.
Frank's house in Animal Forest e+ is like any other island villager's house, with only a few pieces of furniture in it.In New Leaf, Frank's house uses the lab wall and boxing-ring mat, and has many items from the Boxing Theme: two ringside tables, a boxing mat, a judge's bell, a blue corner, a sandbag and speed bag, as well as a weight bench. He also has an office locker, a folding chair, and a drinking fountain. He has K.K. Casbah playing on his tape deck.
