Freckles (マグロ, Maguro?) is a peppy duck villager from the Animal Crossing series. Her English name comes from the freckles on her face, while her Japanese name is the word for tuna. Her catchphrase, "ducky", relates to her species, since she is a duck. Freckles is one of the few peppy villagers who have a pic quote that says "(action) (food)." Other villagers include Pippy, Pate, Pinky, Truffles, and Victoria.
Appearance
Freckles is a pink and white duck with a bit of brown hair on top of her head. She has five freckles scattered above her bright yellow bill and rosy red cheeks. Her wings are white tipped and her eyes are widely spaced apart. Initially she will wear the Bright Shirt.

Peppy villagers appear to be in a good mood often and are easy to become friends with. As a peppy villager, Freckles will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects, and will usually be over-excited to see the player or other villagers. This villager, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. Peppy villagers dream of becoming famous in the future and read Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and other peppy villagers in the Animal Crossing series. Peppy villagers will also have a very short attention span, which means they soon forget some arguments or tasks given to the player which weren't completed. Freckles may easily get upset in conversation when the wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly lazy, normal, jock, sisterly, and other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ to hers. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality.
House
In Wild World and City Folk, Freckles house has a random or relaxed feeling to it, consisting of a Kiddie Wardrobe and a froggy chair and two puffoids. There is a Dice Stereo that plays K.K. Song. The wallpaper is the Green Wall and the flooring is the Bamboo Flooring.
In Animal Forest e+ and Animal Crossing, Freckles house continues its relaxing feel with many Plants and different items including a Cabana Screen and a weight. There is a White Boombox that plays K.K. Song, K.K. Cruisin', or K.K. Calypso. Her wallpaper is the Green Wall and her flooring is the Bamboo Flooring.
In Animal Forest and Animal Forest+, Freckles house soldiers on with its relaxed theme and there are many pieces from the Spa Set, such as a Spa Vanity and a Spa Table. She also includes the whole Froggy Set.
Freckles house in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is very random, and has somewhat of a bathhouse theme. She has the spa items, such as the bathtub, and a washbasin. She also has two fish, one of which being the rare Ocean Sunfish. Freckles has a Reel To Reel playing K.K. Song, and a water cooler.
