Friga (サブリナ, Saburina?) is a snooty penguin villager in the Animal Crossing series. She has appeared in every game so far. Friga was possibly named after the Norse goddess Frigg, sometimes called Frigga. She was most likely named after her because of her picture quote, talking subtly about knowing the future, as Frigg was said to be able to do. Alternatively, she may be named from "frigid", meaning cold, which relates to penguins being antarctic creatures. Her initial phrase is a reference to the cold climates of the Arctic region. Her Japanese name plays on the onomatopoeia, brrr. She appears on the album cover for K.K. House.
Friga is a dark blue penguin with a light, porcelain pink complexion, turquoise blue eyeshadow, dramatic mascara, and pink blush. She has dark blue hair on her forehead that is combed down. Her flippers (arms) are the same color as her back and tipped with a light pink crescent moon shape. She has yellow feet and a large beak. She wears the Cozy Sweater that is knitted into many pink designs and patterns. In Animal Forest for the N64, Friga's face is light pink but darker, her eyes are smaller with blue makeup on it, her cheeks are red, and her hair is purple.
Below is a brief description of the snooty villager. For more information, click here.As a snooty villager, Friga will appear uptown, classy, and chic. With this, however, she will appear rude, belittling, and snobbish when talking to the player or other villagers in the town, usually criticizing their sense of dress or fashion. When talking to the player enough times, she will befriend them but still remain subtly rude. As with all snooty villagers, she has an interest in clothes over other hobbies. She will have problems socializing with other villagers, usually lazy villagers by disagreeing with their choice of lifestyle or getting offended by a jock villager, who has questioned her physical fitness.
Like most snooty villagers, Friga has an elegant house with mostly regal furniture and some clothes and umbrellas displaying in her house. She has the Arched Window wallpaper and Classic Carpet. On her stereo, K.K. Tango is played.
