“Well, you can't dance flamenco without any flamenco music,(player's name).”
― Gloria, New Leaf
Gloria (スワンソン,Swanson?) is a snootyduckvillager in the Animal Crossing series, a new character that first appeared in City Folk. Both her Japanese and English name refer to Gloria Swanson, a famous actress and singer who was well-known in silent films. Her catchphrase is "quacker", a play on the sound that ducks make. She appears on the album cover for K.K. Adventure.
Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, click here.
Gloria has a snooty personality, which means she loves makeup and gossiping. As a snooty villager, Gloria will first appear rude and arrogant towards the player, often talking about herself and her own experiences. She also speaks about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually other female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Gloria will not get along with lazy villagers due to them not caring about their appearance or the lazy villagers hating what she eats, and she won't get along with jockvillagers because they will question her on her physical appearance and they won't worry about fashion. However, she will get along with cranky villagers due to their similar rude personalities, and usually normal villagers as well.

She will soon warm up to the player, confining in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. She will find it hard to get along with other villagers, specifically lazy and jock villagers who have conflicting lifestyles of her own. She may get along with cranky villagers, who also enjoy gossiping about the appearance and lifestyles of others. Like peppy villagers, she also mentions reading a magazine called Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine featuring in Wild World and City Folk.
House
Gloria has the ebony piano and a red armchair in her house. She has the Cityscape wall and the red tile. If you give her a stereo, it will play K.K. Blues. In New Leaf, she has the rococo series, and K.K. Milonga playing on her retro stereo.
