Hazel (ララミー,Raramii?) is a normalsquirrelvillager. She was renamed Sally in Wild World, City Folk and New Leaf due to a localization error by Nintendo of America. However, due to a second localization error, her new name Sally had also taken by another villager who already had that name. The name, "Hazel", relates to her species, which is commonly associated with nuts, as is her initial phrase, "nutmeg".
Hazel is a ginger brown squirrel. She has chalky violet eyeshadow and a traditional animal smile with a large, black nose.Her tail has a swirl of auburn and a swirl of white running through it. She has three scarlet stripes on her head. She wears a Neo Classic Knit initially. When she is known as Sally, she wears an Icy Shirt as her default clothing.

Hazel (Animal Crossing) has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty, and other normal villagers. Hazel (Animal Crossing) may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Hazel (Animal Crossing) will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
House
In Animal Crossing, Hazel's house has no specific theme to her house. Most of her furniture consists of parts from the Green Series and the Cabana Series like the Green lamp, the Green Dresser and the Cabana screen and a Cabana Table with a tea set on it. She has three Econo Chairs, the Ruby-Econo Chair, the Emerald Econo-Chair, and the Yellow Econo-chair, a plant, and a umbrella. She has K.K. Fusion playing on a Red Boombox and she has the Blue Trim Wall and the Kitchen Flooring as her choice of wallpaper and flooring.
Hazel is the droopy-eyed chipmunk who stays up all night reading and sleeps all day recovering. She would get great grades in school because she's so well read, except that she can't stay awake!
