Don't worry. I might be messy, but my house is a cockroach-free zone.
― Jacob, New Leaf

Jacob Gallery

Jacob (ジャコテン, Jakoten?) is a lazy bird villager from the Animal Crossing series. He was originally exclusive to Animal Forest e+. He could only move into a village if the player has his e-Card. His Japanese initial phrase, when translated (chuuuuurp) is similar to Anchovy's. He has returned for Welcome amiibo, and his new phrase ya feel is complementary to Wade's so it goes.

Jacob returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.

In the newest update in PAL versions his name is Jakey, but in North American versions, his name is Jacob. He was in the cover for King K.K. in Animal Forest e+. But in New Leaf, because of his absence in that game before the update, he was replaced with Jay. He has the nature hobby.

Jacob is quite colorful, with a bit of green on the top of his head, orange on his forehead, a purple beak, yellow on his cheeks and chin, red, green, and yellow on his feathers, and yellow on his feet. Jacob initially wears a Green-tie-dye, a shirt with green and a white stripe on it. He also slightly resembles Shoukichi, another bird who was introduced and so far only appeared in Animal Forest e+.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Jacob will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Jacob will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

House[]

In Animal Forest e+, Jacob has the same house as Aziz, with the difference that he has the Ivy Wall as wallpaper, and he has To the Edge playing on his Phonograph.

In New Leaf, Jacob has a barren room with a lot of trash in it. Most of these furniture items are exclusive ones introduced in the Welcome amiibo update, which come with his Amiibo card and show up in his RV. He has a Cardboard bed and two Cardboard tables, which hold a Ramen cup, Milk carton, Cans, and some Stacked magazines. Dotting his floor are two sets of Scattered papers, a Stack of books, a Round pillow, a green Garbage bin, and some Trash bags. He uses the Old wallpaper and Ramshackle floor.

The trash theme of Jacob's house carries over into New Horizons, as he now appears to live in a landfill. He uses the Garbage-heap wall and flooring, and his house is filled up by a Hay bed, Clothesline, Log stakes, Cardboard box, and Trash bags. He uses a Simple DIY workbench to craft with, and has a Portable radio sitting atop a Log stool.
