Wade (カマボコ, Kamaboko^?) is a lazy penguin villager who appeared in Animal Forest e+ as an e-Reader villager, but has been found in the data for Happy Home Designer. His name is a pun on the act of wading through water, while his Japanese name is a reference to a common Japanese food item of the same name.

Wade returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.

He has the nature hobby.

Appearance

Wade in Animal Forest e+

Wade is a black and white penguin with a color scheme that resembles a penguin chick. The top of his head is white, and so are the tops of his flippers and belly. He has expressive dark grey eyebrows. Above his orange beak are black markings that fade to white in a noticeable gradient. The same goes for the tips of his flippers. His feet are black and he initially wears the spade shirt. In New Horizons, he dons the froggy tee.

As a lazy villager, Wade will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Wade will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

House

In Animal Forest e+, Wade's house is the same as Joey's, but with the backyard carpet and the lunar horizon wallpaper. Forest Life plays on his red stereo.

In New Horizons, his house uses the ice theme alongside multiple shell-based furniture. Additionally, the back of his house is lined with various types of fish.

Pocket Camp

Wade was added to Pocket Camp in the August 23, 2020 update.

Wade's preferred theme is harmonious, and he primarily gives cotton as a reward. His profile reads:
