Leonardo (ヒョウタ, Hyouta?) is a tiger villager with the jock personality from the Animal Crossing series. He made his first appearance in the Japanese exclusive Animal Forest e+, but was absent from both Wild World and City Folk. He later returned in New Leaf. His name includes the fact that Leonardo is a leopard, both starting with 'Leo'. His Japanese name refers to the calabash gourd, known as hyoutan in Japanese, is a fruit grown in India, which relates to his species as leopards are found in India. His initial phrase reflects to his Jock personality as real jocks flex their muscles.
Leonardo is a yellow tiger, with half-closed black eyes and three small brown stripes on his cheeks that resemble the spots of a leopard, he also has two more of these stripes on his head. He also has spots on his arms and legs, and the insides of his ears are pink. Leonardo initially wears the Three Ball Tee and he carries the Leopard Umbrella when it rains.
