Lions (ライオン, Raion) are a species of villagers in the Animal Crossing series. They are one of three types of large cats that appear in the games. There are nine lion villagers so far. Five are jock, two are cranky, one is smug and one is lazy. All of the lions are male, with no female lions in the series, most likely to avoid confusion with tigers, since lionesses don't have manes. All lions except Rex and Lionel have cranky or jock personalities.
