Maddie (マロン,Maron, Malon?) is a peppydogvillager. Her initial phrase is a direct reference to her peppy personality, as "yippee" is used to express excitement. Maddie originally only appeared in the early games of the series, but she returned in Happy Home Designer as limited DLC. She unlocks the never before seen "Stationery Series" such as the Pencil-case chair and Eraser couch. She was first available from February 1st, 2016 to February 29th, 2016, and later again from May 2nd, 2016 to May 31st, 2016.
Maddie returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome Amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.
Maddie is a brown dog, whose face and legs fade from a dark brown to a lighter brown, ending with a white muzzle and paws. She initially wears a Picnic Tee. She resembles a pug, a breed of dog. She looks similar to Bea and Megumi.
Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.
Peppy villagers appear to be in a good mood often, and are easy to become friends with. As a peppy villager, Maddie will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects, and will usually be over-excited to see the player or other villagers. This villager, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. Peppy villagers dream of becoming famous in the future and read Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and other peppy villagers in the Animal Crossing Series. Peppy villagers will also have a very short attention span, which means they soon forget some arguments or tasks given to the player which were not completed. Maddie may easily get upset in conversation when wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly the lazy, normal, jock, uchi, other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality.
Maddie has a computer in her house. She also has some items from the cabana series, two gyroids from the Fizzoid family, and a classic couch. She also has a few plants. She has a gold stereo in the back of her house playing K.K. Fusion.
In New Leaf her house is outdoor themed and filledwith Welcome Amiibo items such as the cruiser bike, swinging bench, garden faucet, garden lantern and normal items such as the picnic table and garden gnome. She has no stereo, but if given one, Forest Life will play.
Maddie's a little TOO into proper fur hygiene. She's constantly talking about new brands of body wash and shampoo, and she bathes all the time. This may seem rude, but do you think she used to have fleas...?
