Sorry about that weird edit I made. Thanks for fixing it for me; More stuff probably would've gotten deleted if I tried. My computer's been treating Wikis weird today and deleting random lines when I post edits. I caught it another wiki, but I didn't realize it was happening with edits on this one too.
With the wiki's current activity, we are not looking for staff members. Check the availability table on Animal Crossing Wiki:Rights for open positions; things could change if activity rises or staff members become inactive.
Golly gee, where does the time go? It's almost February! You know what that means?! 11 months till Christmas :D Haha, just kidding (but not really). How are you doing love? I hope you transferred back into the school rhythm with ease, and that you've been making the most of your January opportunities this time around. The school has been good for me as well. I'm on this weird health kick too, so I'm working out more, cooking at home, etc. It's been fun, exciting, exhausting, but still motivating. I'm hoping that I can keep it up as the year progresses. I've been thinking about you a lot buddy, and want to stay in touch more. I know I don't come on here very often anymore, so I was thinking we should figure a way to stay better in touch! If you're comfortable with it of course. If you're interested, just mention it in your reply back and we can both hop on chat and see what we come up with! I was thinking of swapping email addresses or something. I don't know man! I respect your privacy, and won't pressure you into anything you're not cool with. Anyways, the class is about to start and I don't know how my professor will take it if I told them I was on an Animal Crossing Wikia writing on a friends wall? Hmm. Let's not test that. HAHA, ttyl!
The countdown for Christmas is always on! I am back into the school swing and feeling great about it. Having a routine is comforting, and being productive is such a rewarding feeling. I WISH I was on your health kick; I need the motivation to exercise and eat healthily!
I started this new thing where I write down a few good/memorable things that happen to me everyday. I also use it to track my thoughts - it's almost like a little, happy prayer book. I've been hard on disciplining myself to write in it every night because sometimes it slips my mind, but the day I skip is the day I forget about it altogether, and the whole thing goes to shambles! I've gotten through January with it, and I hope to get through the whole year. :)
I've been so busy as of late that I, too, haven't checked into the wiki or chat very much! I will let you know how we should go about keeping in touch because there's no way I'd let go of my sister so easily! Give me two shakes, and I'll have the perfect method in mind. (Do people say two shakes?)
It's always almost Christmas hehe. I'm glad to hear that school is going well for you! There is something about having a routine that just makes me feel really... comfortable. I think it's the structure-- knowing that I'm going to be doing X at the Y time. A few days later, and the health kick is going well! This next week I'm going to be eating some nice roasted vegetables and chicken! It's going to be delicious :)
I've heard of people keeping a journal like that. I think you can buy ones that will ask you about your day for like 5 years or something? I think that would be so nice to look back when you're done and then reflect about that time in your life. I hope you keep it up, because like you said-- it's going to be super rewarding! You made it through January, so February should be a breeze! Keeping it next to your bed should be a good way to remind you to do it. I also love this idea because I feel like people get so caught up in their lives that they forget to be thankful for what they have, you know? There are a lot of bad things that happen in the world, but it's amazing how the smallest good acts of kindness can almost cancel out something horrific. Haha, hopefully, I'm making some sense :)
Take your time of thinking of some ideas, and I'll try to think of some too! You can definitely say "two shakes". Sometimes I'll say "two shakes of a tail feather", but people will be like "what did you say" and I'm like "heh. what. don't send me to the glue factory, I'm still hip!!" Listen, man, I'm 21, please don't send me to pasture because I love vintage and old sayings! Heehee :)
Also, are you watching the Super Bowl tomorrow? Who are you for! I'm not sure who I want to support... I'm a big underdog supporter, but when I do they always lose :( Ugh so torn!
I know someone who bought one of those five-year journals! I think those are really neat, but I don't know if I could keep up with it. I haven't even thought about tomorrow!
I never got into football, but I DID turn on the Super Bowl. I just have to say that I have never been into sports more in my life than I was on that night. I was practically trembling with fear and excitement. I was video chatting with a group of friends so we could all watch it together, and we were rooting hard for the Eagles! And THEY WON! It was such a great game - they took the lead from the start, and at the very end is when the Patriots took over. We were all on the edge of our seats with nerves. But the Eagles pulled through at the last minute.
Have you been watching the Olympics? I haven't found the time to, but I need to see the figure skating! That's my favorite part!
Yeah, 5 years seem like a really big commitment to me. I'm just not ready for that lol. So, fun fact, I'm a total football mom. My brother played football from 4th grade to his junior year of high school, so I quickly became a part of a tight-knit group of moms who just loved to watch their sons play some ball. LOL, it was a combination of Dance Moms and Friday Night Lights. They were the same people I would travel with for off-season basketball games so we all became very synced up, to say the least. I'm so glad that Eagles won! That was honestly such an amazing game on both sides, but man.. underdog for the win! WOOHOO.
As for the Olympics, I haven't been too good at keeping up with the "live" shows, but I record them and check snap chat often enough to see what's going on. On the US Figure Skating I was really taken my Nathan Chen and Adam P. They both were soooo amazing! Of course, I had to see Shaun White. The dude has a video game made about him, so when I heard he was coming back I just knew I'd have to see him, board. He even cried </3
In other news, I've got a new side consulting gig with a Clean Tech. company in Sweden. It's been a really great experience so far, but the time difference is killing me. Every few days I have to have a video call at 7 AM in the morning with my teammates. I've never cried so hard internally.
Todd howard i think it is. Prob just some celebrity but be safe here. If you are scared than message me because feel free to talk to me and if you notice anything off with users let the staff know about that
Hi love, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm late for one, on time for the other. I guess you can't win them all, right? Anyways, I hope that your Holiday was absolutely splendid and that you made time for family and friends. I already know whoever got gifts from you were incredibly lucky! Though it's not all about presents, I also hope that you got anything that you wanted and are happy. 2018 is quickly approaching, and I cannot wait for a new year of opportunity and growth to open up for you. My dear, you are destined for great things. I always tell you that the world is your oyster! Your hard work, determination, focus, and your big heart is going to take you to better and bigger sights that you've yet to see. With those realizations, I hope that you use your powers to change the world for the better. Thank you for being such a good friend; so kind, so generous, so genuine. I couldn't ask for a better pal on this Wikia-- boyo you are some stiff competition! Anyways, celebrate safely and responsibly. I'll see you next year! ;D (lol dad jokes)
Hello dear, MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR! My holiday was exceptional; I got to spend more time than ever with some of my closest friends and, of course, my family. I definitely gave out some bomb gifts, and I'm sure you delivered some exceptionally great ones!
We've made it to 2018, can you believe it?! I know this is going to be a good one for both of us considering how well we work as individuals. You have some milestones coming up and a BROAD future just around the corner. I can't wait to see what's next!
You are the best of the best, the coolest of the cool, the ultimate winner. Let's take on this year like we own it! <3
Thank you so much for your kind words! Your eloquence and grace never cease to amaze me. I agree lets make this year one to remember! Have you heard of bullet journaling? I've started my new one for 2018 and it's SLOWLY coming together! School for me doesn't start until the 16th, so I've been taking my sweet time in setting it up. Afterall, I only need it for the half of January and onwards ;D
Hey-O-lad, I hope you are enjoying the holidays & that you got lots of Christmas furniture!
Now, I’m Ursuul, representing the Vanguard team. I wanted to talk to you about converting to the Portable Infobox tool. The tool makes it easy to create and maintain Infoboxes that work nicely on all devices, while keeping the existing desktop design intact. As you can see below (or here for a working example), conversion would have very little visual impact on the Infoboxes:
There are many benefits to using this new Infobox tool, and if you approve of the above design then we would be happy to make the changes for all Infoboxes on the Wikia for you, since Animal Crossing has been identified as a high priority for FANDOM. If you have any questions, or if this is the wrong place for this discussion, do let me know. We’d really like to start working on your Wiki, but we would appreciate your consent to proceed.
Hey there! It’s because I placed my showcase in the User: namespace which doesn’t take advantage of Mercuryskin in Mobile. I put it there because I didn’t think you’d appreciate me using my showcase on an actual page / I only needed to show that there would be no loss in desktop quality.
You are more than welcome to test out any of the drafts on any mainspace pages by adding /Draft to the top of an Infobox to preview the portable version. You can then look at the page on your phone to see the improved display.
If it’s alright with you, I’d like to start adding the other drafts I’ve made so that you could have even more examples to review. I have completed drafts of roughly half of your most important Infoboxes ready to set up at your say-so.
This image I have of the non-portable Infobox (NPI) looks considerably less clean to me, but that’s just my personal opinion. If it looks “the same” in both desktop & Mercury (although I think you’ll notice that images especially will look considerably cleaner in desktop using the Portable format & the Infoboxes themselves will be more consistent in general) then what’s the harm in converting? I would handle it all for you, you wouldn’t need to do anything (although you’d be more than welcome to make any requests).
Add to this some of the benefits I linked in the OP, such as a simpler & more easily maintainable Infobox markup, improved accessibility (e.g. web readers for blind people), & the overall future-proofing put into this new format, it would not be without value to convert. Additionally, NPIs have been known to produce erroneous results, which PIs (Portable Infoboxes) never encounter.
I don't think we're particularly interested; we'd rather the changes be a bit more dramatic before altering anything.
We generally try to minimize the dramatic visual changes, at least on desktop; users are often intimidated by drastic alterations. On mobile, the infrastructure changes are not always visually apparent. Image handling and data structure with PIs make for a more dynamic experience. So, while there’s not an obvious visual difference, that’s sometimes a good thing! There’s more going on “under the hood” to make the coding futureproof, so it’s still an upgrade even if it’s subtle.
So, let me reiterate — this is not work you have to do yourselves, since I’m taking the time to do so. The end result should make it easier for you to maintain things in the future. If it’s not harming you or your community, doesn’t hurt or break what you have, makes things better for performance, and it costs you no time or energy to implement, what do you have to lose by accepting it?
Hello, it is me! DID YOU THINK I WAS GONE FOREVER?! Shade told me that you wanted me on chat a couple days ago, and I've been on every night but I keep falling asleep before you come on... LOL, sorry. Anyways, I've done the paper work, eaten all the large vegetbales I can, and will be seeing you soon!! Loafie and I are doing well, thanks for asking. I also like your new Christmas DP! Ya look so cute wow! 'm glad that your dp doesn't jiggle like everyone else's-- it reduces the likelihood of me having a stroke :')
