Nook guide (ACWW)

From Animal Crossing City

Jump to: navigation, search

Tom Nook is the tanuki who runs the only general store in town. You meet him when you first get to town, and, well, he rules your entire game life, since he is the person who provides you with your house expansions (and therefore mortgages) and the only constant source of new furniture and supplies. You'll get to know (and probably hate) him quite well.

[edit] Working for Nook

Once you start your new life, Tom Nook will approach you pretty early on in the game. Surprise, you will have to go work for him. Not to fret, you'll get a cool shirt out of it. Anyway, the first thing he'll ask you to do is change into a store uniform. .....

[edit] Expanding the store

Unlockable How to unlock
Nooks Cranny Available from start
Nook 'n' Go 25000 bells
Nookway 65000 bells
Nookingtons 240000 bells, have a friend shop at the store

A hair salon called shampoodle is also available when Nook expands his store to Nookingtons.

[edit] Tom Nook's point system

For every 100 bells you spend at Tom Nook's store, you recieve one point from Tom Nook. After you get enough points, Nook will give you a model of the store, and a discount at his store. You can check your points any time by using the TMA. (the little grey machine in the corner of the store)

Unlockable Discount How to unlock
Nook's Cranny Model None 300 points
Nook 'n' Go 5% 5000 points
Nookway 10% 10000 points
Nookingtons 20% 20000 points

You can sell turnips at his shop which is the main way to make money, white turnips he can pay way up to 1000 bells and Red turnips the bigger the more Nook will pay.

  • When you buy the red turnip, it will be a seed, but if you water it for a week, it will grow to full maturity. Digging it up, and selling it would earn you 16,000 bells. NOTE: Watering further after a week will have no effect.
