Nosegay (アリンコ, Arinko?) is a normal anteater villager who has only appeared in the earlier games in the series. Her name, Nosegay, is another word for a bouquet of flowers or herbs. Her original name, Arinko, is Japanese for "ant", most likely derived from the fact that she is an anteater.

Nosegay from Animal Crossing

Nosegay is a fairly solemn-looking, brown anteater. She has blue eyeshadow. She has pink inside of her ears. Her initial shirt, the Loud Bloom Shirt, is a reference to her name as previously described. She can easily be mistaken for a snooty villager due to the makeup on her eyes.

Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here.
Nosegay has a normal personality which means she will act kind and nice towards the player. Like all normal villagers, she will get along well with other villagers, particularly other normal, cranky, lazy, and peppy villagers. She may, however, conflict with snooty and uchi villagers. She will also engage in hobbies like other villagers such as fishing and bug catching. She has an unseen friend called Moppina which peppy villagers are friends with as well. Normal villagers usually wake up at 6:00 AM. Obtaining pictures from normal villagers is easier than obtaining pictures from other villagers.

In Nosegay's house, she has no specific theme. She has many paintings and two Gyroids, the Mini Tootoid and the Mega Lullaboid. She also has a red econo-chair. The wallpaper in her home is the Melon Wall and the flooring is the Shanty Flooring. There is no stereo in her starting home, but if she obtains one The K. Funk will play on it.

  • Her initial phrase, hoooonnk, relates to her nose, the key feature of any anteater - noses comically make a honking noise, which comes from clown noses.
