Pango (パトラ, Patora?) is a peppy anteater villager from the Animal Crossing series. She has made an appearance in every game to date. Her name is a shortening of pangolin, also known as the scaly anteater, a mammal that lives in the tropical areas of Asia and Africa. However, pangolins are not actually anteaters; they belong to their own separate species. Her initial catchphrase is a reference to an anteater's nose as well as how they eat.
Appearance
Pango is a dark blue spiny anteater with a sea-green muzzle and paws, wearing purple eyeshadow. Pango also has purple lining at the tip of her tail. She has a long nose and features long black eyelashes. Due to her make-up, she may be confused for a snooty villager. She initially wears a Subdued Print shirt.

As a peppy villager, Pango will always appear to be in a good mood. She will get along with other villagers including the player, making it easy to befriend her and gain her picture in Wild World. She will enjoy the usual hobbies, and may ask the player for fossils, bugs or fish that she finds cute or has read about in Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and peppy villagers in Wild World. She will easily get upset, but due to a short attention span she will forget ever having the conversation. Like all peppy villagers, she dreams of becoming famous in the future. She will get on well with normal, lazy, jock and other peppy villagers, but may annoy snooty and cranky villagers with her upbeat personality.
House
Her house is a mix of brown furniture from many different furniture series'. Her carpet is the Exotic Rug and the wallpaper is the Lattice Wall. In all the versions she has K.K. Casbah playing on her stereo. She has one gyroid, the mega bowtoid.
