Patty (カルピ, Karupi?) is a peppy cow villager who has appeared in every Animal Crossing game to date. Her name either relates to a "beef patty" or "cow pat" (another name for cow dung). Her Japanese name may come from 'karupisu', a Japanese milk-based soft drink. Her catchphrase is based off of "How Now Brown Cow", a phrase that helps children learn rounded vowel sounds and is also a greeting. She is the only bovine to appear in every game in the series.
Appearance
Patty is a chocolate brown cow with a beige nose, yellow horns and hands as well as a tuft of brunette hair. Her initial shirt is the citrus shirt, which matches her coloring. The citrus shirt is only available from Gracie, but is available at Able Sisters in City Folk and New Leaf. She is possibly a Brown Swiss cow. She has a small smile.

Patty is a peppy villager, and will appear quite energetic, yet stubborn and forgetful of any small arguments she may have had with the player or other villagers. As a peppy cow, she will have an interest in hygiene and cleanliness, and reading Ms. Nintendique magazine, a magazine read by both peppy and snooty villagers. She, like other peppy animals, may claim to have appeared in the magazine. She may ask the player for fossils.
House
In the first three installments of the Animal Crossing series, Patty's house has mostly all the items from the Cabana Series, including the carpet, with some items from other series. Her wallpaper is from the Ranch Series. In her house, she plays the song K.K. Calypso if she has a stereo.
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Patty's house is now different from past versions of the Animal Crossing games. Her home is filled with various outdoor items, making her house seem like a backyard. She owns an ocean sunfish and birdcage in the back. She also has a clothesline, hammock, and plant. She also owns a table and chair to the right of her house.
