Penelope (チューこ,,Chūko?) is a peppymousevillager in the Animal Crossing series. Her name means to weave, likely a reference to the bow on top of her head. Her initial catchphrase is also a reference to her bow and is a play on the words "oh boy", a term generally used to show excitement, a trait common in peppy villagers.
Penelope is a light gray, almost mint-colored mouse with blonde hair. Her appearance is rather unique for a mouse, as she lacks ears and has a pink bow in their place. Her bow is quite similar to Celeste's. She has a dark gray nose, and a perky smile showing her teeth. The tips of her paws and legs are also a dark gray. Her eyes are of an oval shape, she has black pupils and a set of three eyelashes on both her eyes. She sports a pink wave shirt during her first appearance in a player's town. When it rains, she will carry the leaf umbrella.
Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.
Peppy villagers appear to be in a good mood often, and are easy to become friends with. As a peppy villager, Penelope will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects, and will usually be over-excited to see the player or other villagers. This villager, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. Peppy villagers dream of becoming famous in the future and read Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and other peppy villagers in the Animal Crossing Series. Peppy villagers will also have a very short attention span, which means they soon forget some arguments or tasks given to the player which were not completed. Penelope may easily get upset in conversation when wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly the lazy, normal, jock, uchi, other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality.
Penelope's house is rather neat and feminine, with quite a few pieces of the lovely and alpine furniture, including the lovely lamp and bed, and an alpine dresser and low table. She also has a few pieces of the Sweets Series including the sweets player and bookcase. She has Bubblegum K.K. playing on her stereo.
