Well, it's spring, isn't it? Time to start something new. A fresh start. A new leaf.
― Roswell, Animal Forest e+

Roswell (ピロンコン, Pironkon?) is a smug alligator villager. While he originally only appeared as a lazy islander in Animal Forest e+, Roswell was revealed as a returning villager in the October 15, 2021 New Horizons Direct, but had his personality changed to smug. His English, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Russian names derive from Roswell, a city in New Mexico where some believe a UFO crash-landed in 1947 and has thus embraced a space theme for several local businesses in order to boost tourism.

He has the nature hobby.[1]

Appearance[]

Pironkon AFe+

Roswell in Animal Forest e+

Roswell is a chocolate brown alligator with tan outlines of circles and filled in circles around his body. His eyes appear to be screws, as they rotate when he blinks. He initially wears a Blue Aloha shirt, like all male islanders.

Personality

Roswell personality changes from a lazy islander in Animal Forest e+ to a smug villager in New Horizons.

In Animal Forest e+

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Roswell will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Roswell will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

In New Horizons

Below is a brief description of the smug personality. For more information, click here.

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Roswell will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.

Generally, Roswell will get along with lazy, normal, snooty, and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.

House[]

Roswell's house is styled like a traditional fish market. It includes a scooter in the corner, an aji fry & deep fryer on the stall in the center of his room & an outdoor kitchen behind it. His wall is a chain-link fence. On the blue stacked bottle crates, K.K. Khoomei plays on the tape deck.

Roswell was added to Pocket Camp in the November 29, 2021 update.

Roswell's preferred theme is historical, and he primarily gives wood as a reward. His profile reads:

❝ Roswell is fascinated by the mysteries of the cosmos. Every night, he stares up at the night sky for hours, hoping to catch a glimpse of a UFO.❞
