Pudge (きんぞう,,Kinzou?) is a lazycubvillager in the Animal Crossing series, appearing in all of the games in the series to date. As a lazy villager, Pudge will appear friendly towards the player, and will easily become friends with them. His name may relate to his "pudgy" gut. His initial phrase, "pudgy," may also relate to this. Pudge's Italian name "Tombolo" means "podge," as in a short chubby person; Also, his Spanish name means "little bread roll" or "little cupcake." He appears on the album cover for The K. Funk.
Pudge is an orange cub (also known as "teddy bear") with brown hair, green ears, and a white muzzle. He has a look of confusion, nervousness, shyness, concern, or perhaps dizziness on his face. He initially wears a green ring shirt in Animal Crossing and Wild World, and a chichi print in City Folk and New Leaf.
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Pudge will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares an interest in food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food (fishing). He will get along well with other villager types such as the normal and peppy villagers. He may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, who do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice. Pudge also will frequently ask the player for fruit, due to him not having enough energy to pick it himself. He also comments on how ninja-like and stealthy you are if you enter his house unexpected. In addition to his catchphrase, pudgy, he says "a huh huh huh!" a lot.
In Animal Crossing, Pudge listens to Rockin' K.K. in his house. He has a wide variety of furniture in his house, ranging from a jack hammer to the elephant slide.
In New Leaf, he continues to enjoy Rockin' K.K., but changes his furniture to a citrus carpet, wallpaper featuring tugboats, toy train set, magazine shelf, potted palm tree, froggy chair, an indistinguishable tan bug in a blue container atop a froggy table, blue slide, dice boom box, hammock, and displays his red with white polka-dot shirt. He has a cuckoo clock perched between the froggy chair and palm tree. He keeps his tall sputnoid.
As a fish crazy bear and a dedicated daydreamer, Fudge is always staring at the fish-filled waters so intensely that one small nudge would push him in the drink. Maybe that he'd actually catch a fish. He's a terrible fisherman.
