The player's savings account can be accessed at the post office window in the Town Hall building. The player can deposit and withdraw Bells by speaking to Pelly or Phyllis and selecting 'access account.' Bells stored in a savings account earn interest of 0.5% monthly. You will receive a letter saying how much the bank has put in. The savings account can hold up to 999,999,999 Bells. Players earn special rewards when they have deposited sufficient bells. The rewards are as followed:
- 1,000,000 bells - Box of Tissues
- 10,000,000 bells - Piggy Bank
- 100,000,000 bells -Pelly's pic
- 500,000,000 bells -Phyllis's pic
- 999,999,999 bells - Town Hall Model
In order to get every reward shown above, the player must deposit money gradually, as the rewards for bells are non-cumulative. For example, if one immediately deposits 10,000,000 Bells, one will receive the Piggy Bank but will not receive the Box of Tissues.
