[edit] Money rock
o.. o.. ..R .o. ...o ... o@R o@R o@. o@R .R@o o@R o.. .o. .o. .o. ...o .o. (p.s. 1, 5, and 6 give maximum bells, 7 strikes)
'o' is a hole or tree, '.' is an open space, 'R' is the rock, and '@' is you. When you start hitting the rock, you will be pushed back against the hole/tree, and if you drift sideways, another hole/tree will be there to stop you from moving further. If you try the first diagram and find you cannot position yourself to prevent drifting, try the second diagram and wedge yourself into the corner before starting to hit the rock.
Be sure there are at least 7 clear squares around the rock. Bags of bells will not fall into squares occupied by holes, trees, items, and flowers, so the rock will not produce them if they have nowhere to fall.
Warning! If a resident of your town is standing in one of the 7 squares around a rock, you will also not be able to get all 7 bags of bells. Wait for them to move.
[edit] Items in trees
If you shake a non-fruit tree, there is a chance (approximately 30%) that a bag of 100 bells will fall from it. There is also a small chance that a piece of furniture will fall from it. But beware: There is also the chance that a beehive will fall from it! Unfortunately, you may get stung by these bees, but if you catch one, they sell for 4,500 bells. Also, if you get stung by a bee and think you have to buy medicine, don't! Just save and turn off the game, then start it up again! You are magically healed. Every day, you can shake two pieces of furniture out of the trees. Each tree has this chance once a day.
[edit] Money tree
Once you have the golden shovel, use it to bury a bag of bells. A sapling should sprout immediately. This will grow into a money tree which has a chance of producing 3 bags of 30,000 bells. The more bells you initially bury, the greater chance bells will bloom on the tree. For example if you plant 1,000 bells you have a 1% chance of it growing if you plant 37,000 bells you have a 37% percent chance of one growing etc.
The max you can get from one tree is 90,000 bells. 3 x ad30,000 bags.
[edit] Find out tomorrow's weather
To find out what tomorrow's weather is going to be like, turn on your T.V. fifteen minutes before the hour, but not every hour. (X:45) It will tell you tomorrow's weather. This is useful for finding the Coelacanth, because it has to to be raining or snowing.
[edit] Wishy the Star
On a perfect clear night look at the top screen and wait for a shooting star to go by. When you see one tap your character with your stylus, or press A immediately, and you will get a letter with a present (always a Tom Nook spotlight item) from Wishy the star the next day. Note that this will not work if you have any tools equipped when you press A/tap your character.
If you are lucky enough, you may get what has commonly become known as a 'Meteor Shower' (lots of shooting stars in one night.) Although there are many stars, you will only recieve one present from Wishy the following day. Perhaps you could let a few friends over and join in the 'Shower,' by allowing them to also wish and get a spotlight item. These have been known to happen twice in a week, or once in two years. It averages out at about once every 1-2 months, so keep watching the skies!
[edit] Moving Neighbors
The maximum amount of neighbors you can have is 8. Usually, as soon as all 8 places are filled, an animal will start packing to move away. To prevent this from happening, continue talking to the animal until it says something about "considering staying", or they ask you if you really want them to stay. Neighbors sometimes move to towns of the people that have visited you or to the towns you have visited.
[edit] Prevent Neighbors from moving
Enter their house and talk to them, asking them to stay until they say something about reconsidering. But they may still move, it's not exactly a positive decision until they actually either move the next day or unpack the next day.
[edit] Turnips Never Spoil
In order for white turnips not to spoil you must first have a table in your house, then drop an item (i.e shovel, net, timer.ect) next to the table. the dropped item will be under you feet, then drop the turnips and they will fall right on the table. After 1 week they will still be in the same exact condition they were in when you bought them. This secret only works in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
[edit] Extra Item Spaces
By purchasing a dresser, vanity, or anything else that will hold items, you get 96 spaces to put your items into. After this is full, every dresser you have will not give you more space; the same items will be in all of them. There are 3 ways to get more spaces.
- Put the items into the letters you have in your pockets. It will give you 10 extra places.
- Create another character, leave the items on the ground, and pick them up as the other character. Open the dressers, and they will be empty. Each character is allotted 96 free spaces of their own.
- If you put the items in mail make sure it is your mail and put the name of the item on the last line so you know what is in it.
Another way to store extra items is to attach them to letters you store at the post office/town hall, though this is inconvenient since you may withdraw a maximum of 8 items at a time, saving the mailbox takes a while, and it may be hard to find the item you are looking for. However, this is a good way to store photos of villagers that moved away, by attaching them to their goodbye letters.
[edit] Get more money
[edit] Interest Method
An incredibly easy way to get money, And buy items at Nook's, Redd's and Able sisters again.
- Pros: With an initial investment of 10,000 bells and a time shift of 10 years, you will receive 50,000 bells in interest (so 60,000 bells in the bank) (bank interest is %0.5)
- Cons: Will produce weeds, cockroaches in your house, kill flowers, and will also make villagers move away.
- Deposit 20,000 bells or more into your savings account; the more bells in the account, the more money you'll get.
- Save and turn off the power.
- Turn the DS on.
- Change the year by ten years; save settings and turn the DS off.
- Turn back on.
- After exiting the house you'll have mail from the town hall saying how much interest(money that the bank gives you for using their bank) you get.
- Save and turn off the power.
- Correct the date.
- When you go back on, everything will be as if it was the next day on the game.
[edit] Item Duplication Method
Requirements:
- Must have two game cards, and two DS's
- Make sure that you have more than 1 player living in your town
- Pros: Easy way to duplicate your stuff.
- Cons: Requires two cards and DS's.
You may want to make a new character for this.
- Make sure you have as many empty letters as items you want to duplicate, no more than 24. Note that you can only carry 8 letters at a time.
- Put what you want to duplicate into them.
- Save the letters at the town hall.
- Get your second DS card out, you will be moving into that town.
- Go to the town on the second card, go to the civic services desk and select "I want to move".
- Follow the instructions to move to the second DS card.
- Once you move, go to the town hall and view your saved letters. Take them out and put them in your pockets. You will only be able to take 8 letters with you, but you will be able to take 24 items, unless you attached a fridge/vanity/dresser.
- Move back to your original town, view your saved letters, and find the original items. You now have two copies
[edit] Money Tree Method
- Pros: Can potentially turn 100 bells into 90,000 bells.
- Cons: The chances of that are %0.1 percent. The only way to guarantee 90,000 bells is to bury 100,000 bells, which will result in a net loss of 10,000 bells.
Plant a Money Tree.
[edit] Fossil Method
- Pros: Can make at least 3,000 bells a day.
- Cons: Can not make more than 18,000 bells a day.
- Pull out your shovel.
- Go hunt for fossils.
- Once you find them, go get the identified by Blathers.
- When he ask to keep the fossils, say no, or if you would like to fill the museum, say yes.
- If you said yes and have no more fossils, then better luck tomorrow (maybe you'll find fossils already donated).
- Go to Tom Nook otherwise..
- Sell your fossils.
- Repeat (3 fossils spawned every day).
