Shep (ボブ, Bobu?, Bob) is a smug dog villager who first appeared in New Leaf. His name comes from the Sheepdog breed of dog, or the fact that Shepherds sometimes use said dogs to round sheep. His catchphrase, 'baaa man', possibly references the name of the breed of dog he is based on, a Sheepdog. The beginning of the word is another animal's name, a sheep, which stereotypically makes the sound 'baaa'.

Appearance

Shep is a dark brown dog with lighter brown hair covering his eyes. His ears are tinted with an even darker brown on the rest of his body. Shep's arms are tipped lighter, and so are his feet. Shep, overall, looks like a sheepdog, the breed of dog he is based off. His nose area is yellow. He carries the Camo Umbrella with him on rainy days.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the smug personality. For more information, click here.

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Shep will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.

Generally, Shep will get along with lazy, normal, snooty, and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.

House

Shep's house is very simple and smooth, with random items, including a canoe, a refrigerator, a simple love seat. He owns two pieces of the Cabana series: the table and the screen. He has K.K. Reggae playing on his record player.

Trivia

  • Because his eyes are hidden by his hair, his expression never changes with his emotions. The only difference is his right eye is visible when he gives the surprised expression.
