Snowman guide (ACWW)

From Animal Crossing City

Every day when there is snow on the ground, two snowballs will be available, randomly located in your town. You can roll these snowballs around, drop them in the water (to make them melt away), and drop them in holes. You can also build Snowmen from them, and if your Snowmen are well-crafted, you can receive a prize.

[edit] How to build a Snowman

Rolling the snowballs on snow will cause them to grow, while rolling them around on other surfaces will cause them to shrink. Once the snowballs are of sufficient size, if you bring them together, they will spontaneously form a Snowman, who will thank you for building him. A perfect or near-perfect Snowman will send you a Snowman series item in the mail the next day.

To create a perfect snowman, the bottom snowball must be the largest you can make it. Roll the ball around on the snow until it is larger than you and you're sure it's not getting any larger. The top snowball should be a little smaller than maximum size. Push the smaller snowball onto the larger one to make the snowman, and it will tell you if it is sufficiently happy enough (usually, it says, "FOOOOOOOOOORE!!!").

[edit] Tips

  • One reliable method of creating the top snowball is to roll it on snow until it is of maximum size, then rolling it for a little bit on non-snow to make it slightly smaller.
  • Snowballs start at a tiny size which cause you to kick it when you roll it. Once it gets a little larger, you push it with your hands and can guide it easily. If you have to move a snowball over a bridge, be sure to get it to a larger size so that you can guide it over the bridge instead of kicking it into the water.
  • Tiny snowballs can break if pushed fast enough into an object such as a tree, sign or house. To reduce this chance, use either the stylus and walk slowly, or use little "kicks" to move the ball around with the D-Pad.
