Static is a cranky, squirrel villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name is based on the green and yellow lightning bolt that goes down his head.

Static is a purple squirrel with yellow and green on his tail and a yellow lightning bolt on his head outlined in green, and wears a melon shirt. He can be mistaken for a female because of his purple color. The lightning bolt fits with his name. He has a unhappy look that can twist into a happy face depending on his mood, and he cries when he has a happy look.

He often claims he is patrolling the town for any thieves, and will discuss his progress with any other bossy villagers in the town. Talking to him late at night will lead to him believing it is you who he has to keep an eye on. At first, he seems to be very cranky and bossy and a spoiled brat. Like other cranky villagers, his extreme crankiness will eventually change into a somewhat crankiness. Static may appear to have a crush on your character (if you are female). You can indicate that by him either being creepily nice to your character or whenever your character compliments him, he gets a heart above his head and makes a happy face. He also can talk about his niece about bug collecting. He will ask you to catch him fish or bugs at times (depending on the season), like other cranky characters. Static will get along with other cranky and snooty characters.

He is really into the Modern Series, and has a rock guitar, metal guitar, and folk guitar in his house. Although he has three stereos and one boom box in his home, but only the golden stereo plays a song, which is playing Surfin' K.K.. His wallpaper is the plaza wall and his flooring is steel flooring. He has a Tom Nook picture in his house in the Gamecube version.
