Static is a Cranky Villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name is based on the green/yellow lightning bolt that goes down his head (most likely the reason for his name).

Static is a purple squirrel with yellow and green in his tail and a yellow lightning bolt on his head outlined in green and an angry look. He has a unhappy look that can twist into a happy face depending on his mood and he cries when he has a happy look.

He often claims he is patrolling the town for any thiefs, and will discuss his progress with any other cranky villagers in the town. Talking to him late at night will lead to him believing it's you who he has to keep an eye on. At first, he seems to be very cranky and bossy and a spoiled brat. Like other cranky villagers, his extreme crankiness will eventually change into a somewhat crankiness. Static may appear to have a crush on your character (If you are female). You can indicate that by him either being creepily nice to your character or, whenever your character compliments him, he gets a heart above his head and makes a happy face. He also can talk about his niece about bug collecting. He was very crabby in the mornings.

He's really into the Modern Series, and has a rock guitar, metal guitar and folk guitar in his house. Although he has 3 stereos and 1 boom box in his home, only the golden one plays a song. It plays Surfin' K.K. His wallpaper is the plaza wall and his flooring is steel flooring.
