[edit] Archive
I have created an archive box - up above here - using a bit of code I nicked from this user page. Do you like it? The previous unsigned comment was added by Dragonfree97 14:50, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yes! It's much clearer now. That's how I do all the mark up on here- I just nick it from other sites! ![]()

- Yes I think that's great :) -Fleurione 16:57, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! -- Dragonfree
- It looks very good :D! It looks official, like it came with Wikia! :) MerrytonRyan 17:05, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! -- Dragonfree
[edit] Poll
The poll seems to have messed up a little bit, the grey coloured bars seem to of gone missing :S MerrytonRyan 20:27, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I've noticed that a couple of time, but every time I go to check it again, it goes back to normal. How odd.

08:15, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- It must just be a minor glitch. -- Dragonfree 08:29, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- It happens every time someone edits the poll.
[edit] Counter
Dab, you monitored hits on pages that had been featured. How did you do this? -- Dragonfree 20:29, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- On 'wikia statistics' there's a link to a 'most visited pages' list. You can type in a page name, and up it comes with the number people that visited the site! I think it counts unique people, not people that visit the page over and over again, but I'm not sure.

[edit] FAM WP
I reckon we move the famwp discussion to a page Animal Crossing City:Featured Article, Media and Weekly Poll, but with a redirect famwp so you can find it easily. -- Dragonfree 19:27, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
That's a good idea, but perhaps a better name? Or not, I can't think of one. ![]()
19:31, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm moving it all over to Animal Crossing City: Weekly.

[edit] Hmmm
It's a bit disappointing that no-one updated the main page in my absense. I'll update it on wednesday as usual, but it should be made clear that it is the community's responsibility, and not just mine. ![]()

[edit] The other Animal Crossing Wiki
Guys, I think they stealing this site's information again :| And Btw, Paper Crossing owns animalcrossing. http://animalcrossing.wikkii.com/wiki/Mayor_Tortimer Grapes
- Yeah, I left a message on the talk page of that page.
On the subject of the Wikkii wiki, we're now beating them at the topsites! Remember to click on the link at the top of every page, folks! -- Dragonfree 08:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I left a message on the talk page of that page.
- What a terrible copy :/ That's literally everything on there, links and images - why do people make such poor copies making it obvious something isn't right? All the links are broken and none of the images work, it's kinda obvious it's a copy :P MerrytonRyan 12:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Spam
How lucky we are not to have spam like they do on the Pokémon Wiki. I'd hate to be an admin there. Sorry about the randomness. -- Dragonfree 19:10, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Images
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh no. Are we going to have to sort through these? I dread the day... -- Dragonfree
P.S. I count 6 coelacanth images on there... -- Dragonfree 19:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Spamming My Wiki
As you remember, I have previously copied my information from this wiki. I recognized what I did was wrong and gave my deepest apologies for that. I downloaded an extension that will let me mass delete the pages. However, the extension missed some pages and someone here was being immature and spamming the wiki for that. The message was:
If you can read this, YOU PROBABLY THINK THIS PLACE IS THE ORIGINAL ANIMAL CROSSING WIKI.
I have evidence to the contrary.
Join the true Animal Crossing Wiki. A more friendly place than here by far, we have over 1,000 articles THAT WERE NOT COPIED FROM ANY SOURCE APART FROM OUR OWN HEADS.
Yes, that's right. This wiki copies information from others! Even though there's a bold warning at a page when you edit - Do not submit copyrighted work without permission. Join us now! Free yourself from the tyranny that is the MONOBOOK SKIN! Escape! Join the ORIGINAL ANIMAL CROSSING WIKI!
Yes, I know I got a bit carried away.
-- A Brave Ambassador from the Real Animal Crossing Wiki!
We'll try and make sure no-one does that again. -- Dragonfree 16:19, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Hey, what's happened to the text? Oh, wait... </span> ...fixed. -- Dragonfree 16:21, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
OK, perhaps not...
How about now? -- Dragonfree 16:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
It's still huge: Now? -- Dragonfree 16:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Oh, what have you done to the text?!? -- Dragonfree 16:23, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Maybe now? -- Dragonfree 16:24, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Now? -- Dragonfree 16:25, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I think that's right... Now, who italikizized (sp?) [[Animal Crossing]] in 'Animal Crossing Wiki'? -- Dragonfree 16:26, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I've removed the the "big" tags for now :) Also, wouldn't it be wiser to just delete that Wiki? If the information is just being copied from this one (which it will be, let's face it), then it may as well not exist - it's got alot of competition against this Wiki anyway. Members of that Wiki could help out here, where anyone is welcome provided the follow the simple style system and rules put in place (though I suspect they are unwritten). MerrytonRyan 16:39, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, that makes the text real small. Anyway, the rules are unwritten. That's a good point, we need to get the most active contributors to the wiki to write those, (that's you, Dab and I. -- Dragonfree 18:55, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I know many people that don't like wikia, so I have Animal Crossing Wikkii. And if a staff member came here to use checkuser to find out who the person was, that'd be nice. PC
And I see you have signed onto the topsites website as well. Not to complain, but you're acting as if trying to deprive my humble site of popularity. PC
Topsites are free to join :) And what's wrong with Wikia? They're both nearly exactly the same :/ Besides, it's the information on them and how they are perceived which is what is most important, and this Wikia has quite alot of information and alot of viewers (judging by how high up it is on Google searches). MerrytonRyan 20:47, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Spotlight
Are we really in the spotlight? -- Dragonfree 09:28, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. There was adelayt after it was accidently removed from the spotlight list. YOWUZA TALK 2 ME! 11:04, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Has this fixed the text?
-- Dragonfree 20:10, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- It looks as though the problem is only with you. For some strange reason, something you're doing is adding the big code :S MerrytonRyan 21:05, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] No User User
So... now some info that is actually useful. What's with all the "New User" edits? It's getting pretty annoying now that they fill up the Latest Activity list. What do you think? SmartOne
- It is a bit frustrating now with some pages, some users seem to add the weirdest things to some pages (one loves using alt codes for some reason :S). But as a wikia it is expected MerrytonRyan
[edit] Villager List
I'm thinking that we should list all the furniture that a Villager owns. For example: ==Furniture of <Villager>==. Then put the <br> to make a list. We should also do this with the music. SmartOne
- ...sorry, I had to remove that stupid Font Sizer thing. It was driving me nuts! Or my nuts? SmartOne
- I find lists to be incredibly messy and untidy, and lack full use of the page width. So far, villager pages that have had furniture information added, have them listed in a full paragraph, and in some pages e.g. Purrl, a seperate paragraph is done for each game, which poper utilizes the page width and keeps it tidy.
Speaking of which, there needs to be a discussion on what makes a villager page. Some villager pages have waaay too much information than is needed, but at the same time won't result in removing chunks of the page such as personality (which is the main culprit).
