Should we use this page to include the list of all the gyroids with their pictures instead of using one page for each?--User:Wolfgang11 03:34, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
There is already a gyroid list (Gyroid list (ACWW)), but I agree that single pages are unecessary. Dab 10:34, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I think combining the ACWW list and this page, and getting info for the other games would be best. I like the 'picture of each' idea :D -Fleurione 19:42, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I wasn't sure where to put this, but is there any information on whether gyroids affect feng shui? Also, I agree with only one page for Gyroids. Are there any gyroids that are in one game, but not another? If so, next to the picture AC, WW, or CF could be written. 24.7.132.135 19:29, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, the name of the games should be next to the name of the Gyroids 99.52.205.130
How many can play at the same time?[]
There is conflicting information in this article about how many Gyroids can play at the same time in Animal Crossing. One part says 8 and the other says 14. Does anyone know which is accurate? (Also, these two paragraphs about how many can play at the same time should probably be combined.) -Shockthetoast (talk) 11:08, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
Brewstoids[]
Should the Brewstoids be added too, or should they be classified as a item from the Café Series? If added to this page, I have information on them but no good pictures. Does someone have Brewstoid pictures?Liesbet (talk) 19:03, July 31, 2013 (UTC)
- They should be added to this page. They can be mentioned on the Café Series page, but are not officially items of that series :) - MerrytonRyan - (profile) - (talk) 21:03, July 31, 2013 (UTC)
Families[]
Should these all get a seperate page, or at least a page per gyroid family? I'd do anything for you guys...Except for running, jogging or climbing stairs. 14:40, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
- I would be against all getting their own page, but I can see family articles being fine enough... ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 19:04, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
How do they work?[]
We all love the Gyroids, but one question has been pondering my mind... How do they work? Origami for the win. (talk) 18:50, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
- "Furniture gyroids are buried like Fossils and randomly generated each day at 6am, though they are only found after rainy or snowy days. There are many gyroids (127 in Animal Crossing: Wild World), and each is unique in sound and shape. All are part of a family of similar-sounding gyroids. If one of K.K. Slider's songs is playing on a stereo, all active gyroids will adjust tempo to match. The word "gyroid" comes from the word "gyrate" or "gyre", a term relating to spinning."
- Hope this makes sense - MerrytonRyan - (profile) - (talk) 22:14, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
- And they come in funky colors! ~ Catty, the one and only 22:30, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
I meant what makes them spin. Is it a necessity of their survival? And what about the Gyroids you stick in your dedicated Gyroid room? Are they alive? Are they alive? If their not alive, what makes them move? Sorry to bother you with posting that I should have been more specific. One again, my most sincere apologies. Origami for the win. (talk) 22:41, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
seems to me like you're overthinking things a bit here :p - Dragonfree97 [talk] 22:44, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
I agree, but I've always thought of them as little toys that run on batteries. But that's just me. ~ Catty, the one and only 23:13, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
Hmmm, since we're here, may as we'll say this: When you forget to save in another town and your face turns into a Gyroid, it really isn't one, it probably is your character being so surprised that they lost their stuff. :p Origami for the win. (talk) 00:11, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
OKay, I've been asking around and have been told by a reliable source that 'they're actually battery powered robots' - Dragonfree97 [talk] 00:18, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
So I was sorrt of right! :D I have no clue why the face turns into a gyroid. Maybe it's a punishment for not saving?~ Catty, the one and only 00:28, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
Perhaps it is a punishment, but you never know unless you ask the creator. Also, battery powered fellows sounds about right. That answered my question, thank you. (They just look so stiff...) -EDIT- perhaps they are powered by Resetti's endless anger when the player resets! :D Origami for the win. (talk) 10:44, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
Feng Shui[]
Do gyroids increase Feng shui points depending on their color or no? I really want to know this. "Zfifitipy Zaviroure," -Space1255 (talk) 18:24, June 28, 2014 (UTC) almost forgot sig.
- Yes, yes they do. Lyle just told me about my Sproid being yellow a minute ago and commended me on placing it in the west. Random Waddle Dee Fan (talk) 19:54, October 18, 2015 (UTC)
Need help with adding a file[]
Hi, I have uploaded a file of Mega Puffoid (.ogg file) here (i uploaded it there since it would follow the name rules) and I'm trying to add it to the Gyroid (furniture) page. But for some weird reason, it messed up the whole page, so I'm unable to add it. If someone could do it for me please? Thanks in advance!
