“Hurray! You made it! Thanks for coming, fuzzers.”
― Tucker, New Leaf
Tucker (はじめ, Hajime?) is a lazyelephantvillager who first appeared in New Leaf. His name could come from "tusks", referencing mammoth tusks. Alternately, "tucker" is Australian slang for "food" or "a meal" and which fits Tucker's lazy personality. His Japanese name means "first", referencing how mammoths were prehistoric animals on Earth. He appears on the cover for K.K. Gumbo.
Tucker is a ginger elephant with large tusks and a messy fringe, making his appearance similar to that of a woolly mammoth. His droopy eyelids are blue and his smile is under his trunk. He initially wears a leopard tee, and carries a camo umbrella on rainy days.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Tucker will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Tucker will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
House[]
Tucker's home includes items from the Western Theme, such as two watering troughs and a storefront. He also has a hammock, a fan palm, and a djimbe drum. He has three gyroids: a Tall Strumbtoid, a Lamentoid, and a Mega Lamentoid. He has a bonfire in the center of his home. If he obtains a stereo, it will play K.K. Safari.
Tucker is one of many villagers to be one species, but themed after another, as he is an elephant meant to resemble a woolly mammoth. Other examples include Savannah, a horse villager meant to resemble a zebra, and Flora, an ostrich villager meant to resemble a flamingo. To further add to his prehistoric theme, he also wears a leopard tee, which closely resembles the outfit worn by Fred Flintstone.
He shares a birthday with Blathers' sister Celeste, as both of them have a birthday of September 7.
In New Horizons, Tucker's preferred styles are Active/Simple, and his preferred colors are Orange/Yellow.
