The U.F.O. is a disk-like object that flies over the player's town one random weekday. Gulliver mentions that it is called the Porpoise and in Wild World it is called the Porpoise 5000, which is a reference to Captain Olimar's ship in the game Pikmin, The Dolphin. It only appears in Wild World and City Folk.
In Wild World
In Wild World, if shot down with a slingshot, Gulliver will introduce himself, he'll also ask the player to get the UFO Parts scattered around town. The UFO Parts can also be given to Tom Nook, though he will not pay the player for them. If sold, they are unavailable until Gulliver's ship is next shot down.
In City Folk
In City Folk, if shot down with a slingshot, Gulliver will be laying near it. Gulliver's ship, while slow, can be hard to hit. Once shot, Gulliver's ship will show up the next day somewhere on the beach. If the player keeps speaking to him he'll eventually get up to introduce himself, and will ask the player to find the missing pieces that fell off of his ship during the crash. If the player agrees, they must find the Spaceship parts scattered around their town. Once all the parts are found, Gulliver will reward them with a rare piece of furniture, which cannot be purchased from the catalog at Tom Nook's Store.
In Animal Crossing: MovieAi with the help of Yu, Rosie, and Margie, finds a part of the U.F.O., which looks like a gear. Gulliver is found in his spaceship in the movie. He needs to find his parts to his ship so he can go back to exploring.
